The Springfield Public Library is having a book sale this week. I went this afternoon and took a browse and saw somethings that reminded me of the 90’s.
The first item that I saw was the Rainbow Study Bible. I remember when this was all the rage. Everyone in the church would know what one particular passage had to do with. I wish I remembered the color scheme and all that they stood for. I remember I used to flip through my parents and try to find pages that had the fewest amount of colors.
I also saw a book about Promise Keepers.
I also remember when this was all the rage. The men would go out of town for a few days to a conference. I don’t remember that much about it but I remember that every church I went to or visited made mention of it atleast once a sermon.
Those are my only thoughts from the book sale. Except that they have books really cheap. I bought 7 or 8 today for around 10 bucks. Not bad. Saturday is Half Price day. I don’t expect much of a selection but hey, half price.

I remember both of those. “The Student Bible” was also really big – I still have mine.
