Putting soap on your hands and running water over them till the soap is gone does not constitute as washing your hands. You actually need to scrub a little. Just a little life lesson.

The Library
Tonight I went tot the library, and while I was there I realized what a quiet and peaceful place it is. I often wonder why more people don’t go to the library. You can go to Barnes & Nobles or Borders almost anytime of day only to find it packed with people wanting to read a bok for free and enjoy a cup of coffee and perhaps a scone or two. Maybe these peiple don’t realize that they can go to the library and take that book home for three weeks causing them to save both money and gas. I say money because for the price of one cup of coffee you could have gallons of your favorite brand in the comfort of your own home. Another theory is that this would cause two much commitment. If you go to the library then maybe you feel some obligation to read the book. Those are just my thoughts.
Support your local library and pay those late fees.
On a sad note NC lost to Duke this evening, atleast they were with 28 seconds left.
So when did it change?
So today I work I saw something that made me think, when did it change? The change I am talking about is when people were willing to help other people just for the reason that they could. It seems now that a lot of people have gotten to the point where they have to ask, what’s in it for me? Or, if I do this then “How can you help me?”. How do we get back to the time when we offer our services just for the sake of doing something good to help better one another? I guess time isn’t the issue it it is more of the mindset that we have? Most are out for numero uno while the few that are willing to help often go as the unsung heroes of our culture. Sure there are people that get recognized by the masses but, this is usually limited to that select few that have already reached a certain status with todays population. I know, I know, most of you are thinking “You shouldn’t do something just for the gratification that you’ll get from other people” and I agree whole heartedley. But that doesn’t mean you can’t recognize someone in privacy. Maybe send a thank you or return the favor by in turn helping someone else. Those are just my thoughts for this moment.
